Some of Our Animals
[Home]
[Sales List and Breeding Schedule] [Meet
the Animals]
Hi! Were
Dragonflye Farms Miniature Livestock, and wed like to introduce you to a few of the
"folks" who live here on the farm. Although its not everyone, this will
give you an idea of our animals and some of the genetics they are contributing!
Dragonflye Farms Miniature Horses

"Rainbow"(mare) |

"Dallas"(gelding) |

"Didi"(mare) |
Davis Small Acres Barbie Doll - (A/R) -
Rainbow is the second miniature horse that came to live with us. She is a beautiful red
roan mare and is 31" tall. She has wonderful structure and beautiful eyes! She has a
build similar to the more "quarter horse" type of mini. She is a sweet girl and
loves children! We are hopeful that we will be able to get Rainbow bred as she has not had
any foals for a while. She is currently "visiting" with a very nice stallion and
they are working hard on a baby for us! Rainbow is heavily Komoko's breeding, along with
Ayers Mini Red Man, Ayers Mini Red Frosty and a touch of a few others in her lines.
Daystar's Miss Sheza Daisy - (R) - Didi is a beautiful little sorrel with
flaxen main/tail 33" mare that actually has some roaning too- she may roan out more
as she gets older. She is just a beauty to look at, and has that beautiful refined head
with pretty eye that so many are striving for. Her father North's Little Bit Of Whiskey
puts a wonderful head on the babies I have seen. Didi is a little "spitfire" and
is always prancing around or getting into mischief! She has been bred to the same stallion
that is visiting Rainbow, and she is ultra sounded in foal for May 2006, and we can't
wait.
Dragonflye Farms Miniature Zebu Cattle

Bill (stands 5'11") and Daisy |

"Veda" with newborn
"Monkey" |

"The Herd" |
BMW Miss Daisy - Daisy is a gray colored foundation pure
cow born 1-20-2000. She has reached her mature height of 35.75". She is a very
friendly cow, and we look forward to getting some babies out of her. She has a lovely head
and breed character, but she is our token "chunky monkey" here at the farm. Her
bloodlines are all RVB.
BMW'S Mickey - Bo is our herd sire here at the farm. He is a foundation
pure gray bull who has reached his mature height of 37.25". He loves the babies- he
was born to be a papa. We have found him cleaning off our newborn baby goats licking them
through the fence! He is a protective boy, and considers not only the cattle, but the goat
herd "his". He is a very nice bull, but we did remove his horns as a long
yearling, as we were a bit concerned about him possibly using them and injuring someone.
He also is RVB bloodlines.
SBF Laalamani - Lala is a red foundation pure cow who just calved for us
this year and produced a lovely little red heifer. Lala has reached her mature height of
37.75". She is a very sweet cow, but boy, when she wants to be stubborn, she sure can
be!! Lala is RVB and RCP bloodlines. Her bloodlines trace back to "Swede" who
was the original red bull imported from
Sweden (and all red stock trace back to Swede). Lala is a wonderful mother, and a
beautiful cow!
DFF Maya - Maya B is our first baby in our herd name! She was born
6/10/2006, and she is a little red headed spitfire girl (VBG). Her mother is the cow Lala
listed above, and she is sired by SBF Zar who is a wonderful gray bull owned by Donna
Counts! We were able to talk Donna into selling us Lala, and then had her bred. Zar has
won grand champion bull I believe a couple of times. He is a wonderful looking,
conformationally correct bull, and we can't wait to watch Maya B grow up and see what she
inherits from her parents. Maya will be red like her mama.
SBF Veda - Veda is another red foundation pure cow that we were able to
purchase from Donna Counts of Texas. She is a lovely cow who is a deep dark red color. She
is not quite old enough yet for her permanent papers, but is currently 36". She
is Buffalo Hill and RCP bloodlines, and again, she goes back to the original red bull
Swede who was imported from Sweden. We look forward to Veda's contributions to our herd.
DFF Moksha - Monkey is our most recent addition to our little herd. She
was born from our cow Veda above, the late afternoon 9/26/2005. She is sired by our
herd bull BMW's Mickey. She has a dark red head, but a much lighter colored body, so we
believe she will turn gray as she gets older. She has the most lovely head, and is a
wonderful baby! She's an energetic little girl, and we love her!
Dragonflye Farms Pygmy Goats
Tiffany Diamonds Jaden (PGCH Proverbial Pygmies Jachai x
Proverbial Pygmies Cherokee Moon+) - Jaden is a conformationally correct little powerhouse
buck! He has good bone, great topline and structure, and an awesome head that he throw's
to his babies! Jaden is a 2x Grand Champion buck.
Fir Meadow Patriarch (PGCH Fir Meadows Jack Daniels x Fir
Meadow Kimi+) - Pat is a new addition to our crew here, coming from Idaho to the Arizona
heat. He looks better in person than in his pictures. We have bred Pat to some of our
does. Contact us if interested in some of his babies.
Grampa's Kid's Klub Phinius (Drift Creek Monarch x Fir Meadow Marguerite)
- Phinius is a light caramel buck we bought to introduce both some color and different
bloodlines. Look for him in the show ring!
Dragonflye Farms Coco By Chanel (Tiffany Diamonds Rhinestone Cowboy x
Dragonflye Farms Coco Puffs) - Chanel is a lovely little brown agouti
("chocolate") doe who is just bred to T.D. Jaden. Chanel is also one of our show
does, and among other things has been Rsv. Jr. Champion Doe 2x.
Dragonflye Farms Oso Bedazzling (Tiffany Diamonds Rhinestone Cowboy x
Darlyn Pygmies Oso Fashionable) - Dot is a beautiful black agouti doe, and is Bev's show
doe. She has always done well for us in the ring- and has been the Sagebrush Pygmy Goat
Club's Triple Crown Winner for does!
Ahsum Pygmies Top Of Her Class (PGCH WWF Priceless Edition x PGCH Ahsum
Pygmies A Class Of Her Own) - Topsy is a beautiful doe we purchased from Ahsum
Pygmies(thank you ladies!!) to use as a brood doe. We look forward to her contributions to
our herd!
Grampa's Kid's Klub Spunkie (WWF Premium Quality x GKK Pretty Phriskie) -
Spunky is probably one of the nicest does that we have here at the farm! We have bred her
to Phinius and look forward to both the babies to come, and the opportunity to show
Spunkie ! Many thanks to Tammy Katzer who drove from Idaho to meet us with goats we had
purchased! We love the goaties we got from you Tammy!!
DF Farms Nigerian Dwarf Goats

"DF Farm HD National Hero" |

A typical baby |

Ponder's End Picabo Passion |
Twin Creeks WB Hero Of The Day *S(MCH
Goodwood Weisbaden +*SE) - AGS/NDGA. Hero is our foundation buck here at the herd. He is a
blend of both dairy and power. Although he "looks" more like a power buck, he
produces wonderful dairy kids!! He's a lover, and probably won't ever leave here. 1X Grand
Champion buck, NDGA.
DF Farm HD National Hero (Hero, our buck above -x- BRB Aroura Sky) -
AGS/NDGA. Nate has picked up the best qualities of both of his parents, and looks
like he will be a downsizer buck as well, as he is ~ 21" currently in height. You
can't beat his structure, and he will be bred to a few girls this year. 2x Reserve Grand
Champion Buck(AGS).
MCH Creek Road Jefferson Davis (MCH Goodwood KW Dallas *S x Creek Road
Betsy) - AGS,NDGA pending. JD is a buck we bought strictly on bloodlines and what we saw
in his relatives. He's brand new to us-just settling in so he'll visit the girls later
this year.
Buttin'Heads Polonaise (Buttin Heads Polska Kielbasea*S x CH/ARMCH BH
Wedding
Song 3*D) - AGS/NDGA/ADGA. Polly is a doe I fell in love with years ago! Her full
littermate sister is now also a "CH" doe in ADGA. I look forward to Polly's
contributions here at the farm.
Steele Ballew Abbygayle (MCH Goodwood Weisbaden +*SE x PGCH/MCH Half Pint
Flora E)AGS/NDGA) Abby is a doe from Texas that I purchased from the Steele Ballew herd
dispersal. I look forward to showing and freshening her again. She's been bred 1x in past
and looked to have a very nice udder! Abby has been bred to "Hero" for Dec/Jan
babies.
Ponder's End Picabo Passion (It'l Do's Arapaho x Casita De Chivitos
Cherish). AGS/NDGA. Peek is my first Nigerian doe , and again many thanks go to Sharon
Warren for Peek. We love her to death, and don't know what we'll do when our old matriarch
is gone. She has in the Esperanza herd for Sharon Warren a daughter and g-daughter who are
both finished MCH does! Way to go Peek! Peek is bred to Flat Rocks Virtuoso due to kid
Oct/Nov 2005.
DF Farms MG Pralinz-N-Cream (Via Dolorosa Mel Gibson x Esperanza ZZ
Butterscotch) AGS Grand Champion Jr. Doe/NDGA Grand Champion Jr. Doe. Pralinz
appears to have gotten the best from both of her folks!! She has been bred to Flat Rocks
Virtuoso. She's an awesome doe and we look forward to the babies to come in Oct/Nov
2005.
